He had real estate clients at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. From there he went into real estate syndication in 1984 and then consulting in 1987. After that, he became a broker with Bill Simerville. Brief summary of career: Graduated in 1971 with a degree in accounting. Worked for PWC and then moved to real estate syndication in 1984. From there he began consulting in 1987. When he moved to Charlotte in 1992 he was a partner of Bill Simerville. From there he was the BIC at Colliers for one year, BIC at Bissell Patrick for 5 years and then became the vice president of investment brokerage at Percival McGuire in 2002. What are you doing today? Investment Brokerage How has the region changed since your presidency? Economy and loss of Wachovia Headquarters When President, what accomplishment were you most proud of? • Started Paranet network for administrative personnel Started a technology committee Became very proactive in legislative awareness What are the 1-2 most important events that happened to CRCBR during your presidency? Became more proactive in bringing awareness to legislation that affects our industry What's your favorite piece of real estate in Charlotte? Any deal he closes He loves the Uptown CBD and the way the skyline has developed. What's your favorite piece of architecture in Charlotte? The new Duke Energy building. What's your favorite Charlotte restaurant, now or then? Dolce He has a great relationship with the owners of this restaurant and also Rudys in Piper Glen (same owners) What item would you leave behind to be remembered as Past President? (If they were adding to a time capsule.) His picture (only kidding). His resume of 17 years of services to CRCBR and a detailed background of when and how CRCBR was formed. What deal do you remember that had the most influence on the Charlotte marketplace? Panthers Stadium. It solidified Charlottes position as a prominent city What is important for members of CRCBR to know about you?
