City Pressured to Ease Curbs on Truck Parking
Terry Smith drives his company's Chevy truck home after work each day and parks it in his
North Charlotte driveway.  The truck, a pickup with a flat dump bed on the back, is clean, it's in good shape and it doesn't make a lot of noise when he starts it up.  But it would probably be illegal under a proposal being considered by city leaders this month.  The proposed policy -- written in response to concerns from neighborhood leaders -- would ban tow trucks, dump trucks, buses and other commercial vehicles from parking overnight in city neighborhoods.  [More]

NAR Preparing To Seek Changes To No-Call Registry
NAR plans to aggressively challenge an unexpected decision by the Federal Communications Commission to extend the new National Do-Not-Call Registry to calls made within a state.
