2002 NCAR president Bill Bass created a Task Force on Mold to examine the risks that the presence of mold in properties may pose for real estate licensees, and to make recommendations to reduce or manage those risks. Among other things, the Task Force has identified a need to make good sources of information on mold readily available to NCAR members. This special report is designed to do just that by pulling together several helpful resources.

Facts About Mold from NAR
NAR's new mold Q & A sets the facts straight and dispels misinformation about the causes and effects of mold.  Learn more about mold damage, testing and removal by visiting http://www.realtor.org/realtororg.nsf/pages/moldfaq.
EPA Guide to Mold, Moisture, and Your Home
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has produced a document called "A Brief Guide to Mold, Moisture, and Your Home," that is available on the EPA's Web site. The Guide contains much of the same information as the Environmental Hazards booklet mentioned above, but focuses to a greater degree on how homeowners and tenants should clean up residential mold problems.
