CRCBR offers a wide range of learning opportunities specifically focused on the commercial practitioner. Our instructors specialize in commercial real estate and customize their courses with practical commercial examples and case studies.

In-Person CE

CRCBR strives to combine education and networking whenever possible. To that end, we provide opportunities for members to meet in-person in order to maintain previous connections and make new connections all while keeping themselves up-to-date with the latest standards in commercial real estate. CE Days are offered periodically throughout the year.

Live Stream CE

Introduction to Commercial Real Estate Sales, v5.0 (CE Approved)
This elective provides a comprehensive introduction to the potentially lucrative field of commercial real estate. Discussion includes the categories of commercial property, financial elements involved in real estate investments, and developing a marketing plan. This elective features learning objectives and key terms and case studies to reinforce key concepts.
Risk Management v5.0 (CE Approved)
This course provides the essentials on risk management that every sales professional must know to avoid legal problems and provides an action plan for minimizing liability. What’s the difference between active fraud and negligence? What’s the nitty-gritty on dual agency? What are reasonable accommodations, and who determines when they’re required? Risk Management provides in-depth, detailed answers to these questions and many more, backed up with real-word examples and end-of-unit case studies.
Understanding 1031 Tax-Free Exchanges (CE Approved)
This continuing education course explores the history, evolution, rules, and forms of the strategy used to defer tax liability until a later date. Loaded with real-life examples and calculations, this course allows agents to learn the vocabulary and application of tax-free exchanges so they are better able to answer client questions. Staying on the Right Path – Code of Ethics (CE Approved)
All brokers want to do things right, whether it is following the license law or abiding by the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics. This course has case studies in different areas dealing with different challenges. It does not matter if the broker is from a large or small market, in an urban or rural setting, or is residential or commercial or both – all brokers will relate to most if not all of the situations presented.
Fundamentals of Commercial Real Estate (CE Approved)
Welcome to the exciting world of commercial real estate. It all starts here! This course will explain the business of commercial real estate and introduce many of the resources needed to pursue a commercial transaction or a career in commercial real estate. Course objectives include differentiate between commercial and residential transactions, illustrate the different types of commercial transactions, discuss skills needed to be successful as a commercial broker, identify the players in a commercial transaction and provide tips on beginning a commercial real estate career.

NOTE: According to the NC Real Estate Commission Rule 21 NCAC 58E.0302 all distance education courses require students registering for such course to complete the course within 30 days of the date of registration for the course or the date the student is provided the course materials and permitted to begin work, whichever is the later date, provided that the deadline for course completion is an approval period shall not be later than June 10 of that approval period. If a course expires, the student is considered a “no show” and CRCBR “no show” policies will apply.

In-House CE

In-house continuing education classes provide flexibility to schedule CE at a date and time that works best for your team in the convenience of your office. Our continuing education courses are the only classes in the 18-county Charlotte region that are specifically focused on the commercial practitioner. All our CE courses are approved by the NC Real Estate Commission (NCREC).

Confirm and schedule speaker
Provide PDF version of the course materials
Manage classes and track attendance
Upload CE credit hours to the NCREC and provide certificates of completion

Firm will:

Provide attendee roster 5 days prior to class

Fees:

$2000 for up to 20 participants + $100 for each additional

In-Person

CRCBR will:

Confirm and schedule speaker
Provide PDF version of course materials
Upload CE credit hours to the NCREC and provide certificates of completion

Firm will:

Provide attendee roster 5 days prior to class
Furnish classroom facilities, as specified by the NCREC
Distribute course material to all participants in advance
Provide onsite registration staff

Fees:

$2375 for up to 20 participants + $100 for each additional

Core Concepts Series

The CRE Core Concepts Series (CCS) is designed to bring together a faculty of industry leaders and top producers to teach the fundamentals of commercial real estate. Five courses are offered over three weeks, allowing students to concurrently tend to business while learning. A certificate of completion is awarded to students who attend all five classes, but students are welcome to sign-up for individual courses as well.

These courses are intended for those relatively new to commercial real estate, or experienced brokers interested in learning more about a specific area. Brokers, developers, property managers, broker coordinators, and marketing managers will benefit from the course materials. Real estate licenses are not required as a prerequisite, unless receiving CE-credit.
