Description:

NewLeaf Brokerage is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Real Estate Broker to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a senior commercial broker who has hit a ceiling at their current firm and is ready to grow production, lead a team, and pursue long-term partnership within a well-resourced brokerage.

NewLeaf Brokerage operates as both a commercial real estate brokerage and a business brokerage, providing diversified deal flow across investment sales, owner-user transactions, and business acquisitions. Despite broader market slowdowns, our firm has continued to grow and was recognized in 2025 as the 18th fastest-growing privately owned business in Charlotte by the Charlotte Business Journal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial real estate transactions including investment sales, owner-user deals, and leasing
  • Generate and manage commercial deal flow across multiple asset classes
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of commercial real estate brokers
  • Oversee transaction strategy, negotiations, and client relationships
  • Collaborate with brokerage leadership on growth and market expansion
  • Utilize CRM systems, marketing tools, and brokerage platforms
  • Maintain compliance with North Carolina real estate regulations
  • Represent the firm professionally with clients, partners, and prospects

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial real estate brokerage
  • Active North Carolina real estate license (and South Carolina preferred)
  • Background in investment sales, commercial leasing, or business brokerage preferred
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Track record of client relationship management and deal execution
  • Experience using tools such as CoStar, Crexi, CRM platforms, and marketing systems

Process

Complete the online form. Once submitted, a CRCBR staff member will contact you for payment and with proof of the posting. Upon approval of the test posting, it will be put on the CRCBR website.

UNC Charlotte

Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS® Scholarships in Real Estate
$2,500 is awarded to two (2) students per year that are enrolled in either the UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business undergraduate degree with a concentration in real estate, the UNC Charlotte Childress Klein Center for Real Estate Masters of Science in Real Estate program or the Graduate Certificate Program in Real Estate.

CRCBR Scholarship in Memory of Garth Dunklin
In fond memory of Garth Dunklin, a $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to a student seeking a degree in the Master of Science in Real Estate program at the UNC Charlotte Childress Klein Center for Real Estate.  Garth was a beloved mentor for the real estate community, an honored colleague, and a dedicated teacher for CRCBR.  For many years, Garth taught and mentored countless commercial real estate students throughout the region with passion and dedication for the industry.

Johnson C. Smith University

CRCBR Annual Scholarship
The scholarship may be awarded to juniors or seniors in good standing with a demonstrated financial need and majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Marketing. Applicants are required to submit a short essay to the Business Administration and Economics Department indicating their interest in commercial real estate, and describing why they merit consideration for the scholarship. The scholarship may be renewable depending on satisfactory academic progress towards a degree.

Pre-Licensing

To cultivate future commercial real estate practitioners, CRCBR is offering real estate NC pre-licensing course scholarships for minority students as they prepare for their real estate careers.  To receive your broker’s license in North Carolina, you must take a 75-hour class and then sit for the NC Real Estate exam.  CRCBR will offers the pre-licensing class through our partner Canopy Real Estate Institute.  The course must be completed within 1 year.  CRCBR will connect scholarship recipients with member brokers to help mentor while taking the course.  The scholarship will cover the cost of the class, exam prep and the textbook.
